I've been through these systems myself and have helped students navigate them since.

As a former sales manager at The Flute Center, I handled flutes with players of every level, from beginners buying their first instrument to professionals hunting down a specific headjoint. That time gave me a technical understanding of the instrument itself: scale, intonation tendencies, and what actually separates one flute from another. I bring this expertise into my teaching strategy.
